Zero miles hiked
I put my Hawaiian shirt back on and headed out to the front where I found hot coffee (yay!) and Joe cooking up a pancake breakfast for all the hiker trash.
The games, painting, and relaxing commenced post breakfast. I played a couple rounds of bags, or corn hole for all you people who say it wrong. 😜 Next up was bowling. I got a strike, and quit while I was ahead. Pretty sure it was close enough for a small child to get a strike, but still a proud moment. 😂 I enjoyed some craft time over at the painting table. Unfortunately no photos of the extremely lifelike avocado I created. Probably best, the camera wouldn’t have fully captured my masterpiece anyway.
I took a break from all the shenanigans to volunteer to “cook” this evenings dinner, which meant I stirred a big ol pot of beans. Surprise, this also meant I was first in line, and there were about 50 people tonight, bonus!
After dinner Terrie and Joe told the story of how Casa de Luna started. It was really special to hear. 😊 What generous people! I can’t say enough about how amazing those two are. ❤️ This is definitely going to be one of my favorite stops on the trail! So tempting to stay another day, but the trail is calling.
I’d like to include a link to the Go Fund Me page for Casa de Luna. Take a look and if you’re able to make a donation I know it will be very appreciated by the Anderson’s and every hiker they support this year! These two people are truly wonderful for all they do each day as full-time Trail Angels. Hikers don’t take the weekends off, so neither do the Anderson’s. Thank you both for everything you do. ❤️
