Day 141: mile 2438.4-2457.2 (MiG Lake)
Ahhhh…the blue skies are back! Nothing is dry, but the sun is out, so it will be soon enough. Yay!!

I made my way into the morning thinking about how it’s been almost five months since I started this journey. Five months of moving my body toward this goal, and with only 200 miles left to Canada (700 left in total) I want nothing more than more time. Northern WA has stolen my heart. The beauty here makes me want to stop and enjoy every moment. I have been doing my best to balance that along with sticking to a schedule so I don’t miss my flight.
Speaking of keeping a schedule, a couple things today reminded me I was doing a pretty good job at keeping mine. This morning when I talked to my Mom we realized it was already time to send my very last box for the state of WA. I can’t believe it, only one more stop after tomorrow. Adding to that, about halfway through my day I passed a sign for Stevens Pass, my next stop. I’m so close! It was super motivating.
I spent the rest of my day passing over beautiful lakes. On one side I had Surprise Lake, and as I climbed up and over I saw views of Trap Lake. The trail was pretty rocky coming down the switchbacks, but that just meant I had more time to enjoy the views as they slowed me down. Yeah right, my eyes are glued to the ground so I don’t trip!
I made it to camp at Mig Lake. Not quite as breathtaking as some of the others, but it’s home for the night. Tomorrow is town day, can’t wait!

Goodnight!
